free tickets to 'free the children' presentation

i got hooked up with free tickets to a presentation by Craig Kielburger/ Free the Children Campaign. They were bought for our youth, but i don't think they will use them all up and don't want them to do to waste... and we're still youthy... and poor!

so anyone interested in going - let me know!

the blog just has been tweeked a bit to add some suggested stuff to help new folks learn a bit more about quarry!

and we realize that quarry has been around long enough for us to say "remember when"...

well, remember when we used to also use the blog to write thoughts, responses, and ponderings about monday nights learnings and the nudges of the spirit. i think we should try to bring that back... and of coarse continue to put up funny pics and sweet you tube videos too!

it was good to worship with you all again last night. you could tell people were hungry to be in the presence of God... always a blessing to share in that together...

LONG WEEKEND QUARRY

while some may be sitting in there muskaka chair at their cottage... others are invited to hang out at the Irish's for the evening...

no assigned food to bring - a true potluck...

maybe we'll fire up the bbq...
maybe we'll light off sparklers...
maybe we'll play more games...

Field Trip!

We're going to Oakville on Monday!

This Monday (May 7), The Meeting House is hosting a forum on Aboriginal Canadians (and Les' dad is speaking!). This sounds like a great evening for our community to attend.

So, we are.

Here's the plan:
6:00 dinner chez Rob & Lisa
6:50 depart for Oakville
7:30 event begins
