But will we see cans fly?

There will be no 'middle axiom' discussions this week! We are headed out to be 'hands and feet' in our community!
The plan is to meet at the Salvation Army in Burlington (located in the plaza at the corner of Appleby and Fairview) @ 6:30 pm where we'll be giving them a hand with whatever needs doing! This will be a great opportunity for us to grow as a group and continue our explorations of what it means to serve together, as well as apart.
A post-Sally Ann hangout might definately be in order afterwards as well. :)

See you Monday!

"Come on in! The door is open!"

This week we are lucky to have the lovely Rev. Heather W-O and her husband, Mike, visit us. Heather will help us examine one of the fundamental aspects of who we are as a group: service. We'll be looking at ideas of service and what that could look like for us in this 2009 year. Should be good!

As per usual, we're at the Irish homestead (see address on the sidebar).
It'd be great to see you if you can come!

Meal duties this week go to:
Main - Laura
Vegetarian Main - Rebecca
Bread & Veggies - Meghan
Bevies - Gary
Dessert - Jessica & Gilbert

Happy New Year

I hope you are all as excited as I am about getting back together after a hiatus over Christmas.

We are at the Irish homestead as usual, and if I'm not mistaken we will be lounging on the new couch downstairs. We'll spend some time looking back at the year that was, and looking forward into the future. We'll also have some time of checking in with each other, sharing and supporting.

The meal calendar will be up soon, but Monday is as follows:
Dinner - Les & Linds
Dinner V - Rob & Lisa
Bread & Veggies - Mark
Bevies - Rebecca
Dessert - Gilbert & Jessica

See you there.
